Recently, Bishop and Associates, a research organization focusing on global connectors, released a new ten-chapter research report, providing a comprehensive analysis of the world's top 100 electronic connector manufacturers. This new report provides detailed statistics, ranked according to the total sales of these connector manufacturers in 2016/2017.

The total sales of the world's top 100 connector manufacturers in 2017 were 56.607 billion US dollars, accounting for 94.2% of the global connector market. In the past decade, Bishop and Associates has studied more than 750 connector manufacturers. However, as time goes by, many small and medium-sized enterprises have been acquired by large companies. The established giant companies in the United States are highly concerned about product supply, or support niche markets, applications or specific regions.

In this list, there are 15 American companies, 12 Japanese companies, 10 German companies, and 3 companies in Switzerland, China, and Taiwan. Among them, the companies on the list in Mainland China are Luxshare Precision, AVIC Optoelectronics and Derun Electronics.

Bishop and Associates said it will continue to pay attention to other emerging connector companies, especially in China and other developing countries and companies that are expanding their current products, including interconnect, or who are developing dedicated connectors to support other products. For example, China's Luxshare Precision has occupied the top 10 list for several consecutive years.

In 2016, Luxshare Precision's operating income was 13.763 billion yuan, an increase of 35.74%; net profit was 1.157 billion yuan, an increase of 7.28%; in 2017, Luxshare's annual sales reached 22.826 billion yuan, an increase of 66.06%, ranking first in the country.

The company's main customers are Apple, Microsoft, and Huawei, among which Apple is the largest customer.
